Workshop - How to Make Your Photography Profitable
/Are you looking to turn your photography hobby into a business, but aren’t sure what’s the most efficient way to go about it? Or do you already have a photography business but you’re struggling to get traction and make a reasonable profit? Do you want a real and honest look at today's photography world? This workshop is designed to help you get from 0 to 1 as quickly, effectively, and efficiently as possible. After running a photography business for over 10 years, I’d love to help you straighten the learning curve and provide you with a blueprint to get your business off the ground. This short (4-hour) workshop is a crash course to show you how to not only create and grow a sustainable business but to do so in a way that continues to fuel your passion and avoid burnout.
I am a full-time working professional photographer and use these tried-and-true principles in my own business (on the daily!). I also teach business and marketing for Rocky Mountain School of Photography and have helped countless other new photographers start their careers. I would love to help you, and I hope you’ll join us for this short, informal, and informative class! Come ask those burning questions you've been holding on to in an open and friendly atmosphere!
Topics include:
Utilizing your strengths and how to avoid burnout
Marketing and selling without feeling like a salesman
Potential sources of photography income
Pricing for profit
Finding your ideal client
The overlap of building a business while keeping a part-time or full-time job
