Eric & Jenny | Lauxmont Farms

May 14, 2016

Ohhhh these two!!! Jenny and Eric are seriously two of the nicest, most genuine people. I felt like I was instant friends with them when we met for their very first consultation. It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to photograph their beautiful wedding day at gorgeous Lauxmont Farms!

Eric and Jenny met in 6th grade math class. Jenny tells the story saying that Eric was quiet and shy, but oh-so-cute. They had classes together throughout middle school, and by the time the end of 8th grade rolled around they were inseparable best friends. Their sweet relationship endured high-school, and all the challenges of growing into adulthood. Jenny says that although they knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, they didn’t want to rush or make marriage what they were hanging their happiness on. They discussed marriage on and off for 4 years before Eric surprised Jenny by getting down on one knee in their living room, after a long day at work. Jenny says that she was so surprised she just cried and kept asking if he was serious, and that it took looking at wedding venues for it all to finally sink in!!

Wedding planning ended up being a bit stressful for Jenny and Eric, as they lost their first venue and had to start fresh a few months out from their wedding date. Jenny said that through it all she just kept the constant vision of walking down the aisle and finally making her best friend hers for forever. And let me tell you, that emotional moment was one of my very favorite to document out of their whole wedding day! Their entire day was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous, the people were delightful, and it was a pleasure to work with such an incredible team of vendors!

Our experience with Mary was nothing short of magical. We cannot say enough wonderful things about her professional but relaxed personality and our perfect pictures. She made us feel so comfortable that she could really capture our special moments naturally. I never felt like I was posing or faking any situation. Everything was a breeze and by the end of the day, we both considered Mary a special friend rather than a photographer. – Jenny
